Cards, crafts, and ideas to share

Lori Reinholz, a lady who I met through a yahoo stamping group I had joined a while back offered this challenge for one of her other groups to try.. We were to take a peek at a website that a lady had for advertizing her decorated cakes.. Well these cake are.. some very beautiful and others are really... well wacky! Think Cat in the Hat and that is what some of these cakes are like! So I went through a found a Tinker Bell cake! So here is my offering for the piece of cake inspiration challenge. It is a magnetic post it note coster for the fridge, How cute is that, I have been busy creating stuff for a craft table I am doing at a local mall and the challenge was to make a card but after telling lori what I was up to she said I could do anything paper related...as long as I could take a picture of it! It looks SOOO much better in real life. Thanks Lori!
well that is card candy and can cost anywheres from $5 to $8 depending on where you go.. Well with all those scraps you have hanging around you can make your own so easily.
To make the snowman and reindeer i used Stampin Up's designer label punch. The antlers are punched using a punch from Martha Stewart. Reindeer ears are from a brown prima flower petals, eyes are googly eyes from $ store, The nose is red candy cane stickles. The snowman ones eyes are black brads with white gel pen dotted on the edges to show light reflection, the nose is orange glitter gel pen. For the cup i used Stampin Up's larg tag punch and also Stampin Up's scallope square punch. The foam is some cotton ball and the marshmallows are liquid applique (don't you just love that stuff!) I actually giggled the whole time making these the googly eye just set me off every time! LOL
I hope i have inspired you to take a second look at those punches that are gathering dust, and try your hand at creating some of your own card candy. If you feel very energetic and can make up many of these they would look SO cute as gift tags under the tree on all those pretty presents!
Happy Stamping!

did a trick called kill two birds with one stone for this card.. I wanted to enter the card challenge for CCC and came up with this card.. I also needed to make a card for TTTC for the mingle there, The technique for TTTC is one sheet wonder. If you don't know what one sheet wonder is it is so simple.. you stamp all over randomly or do the same background technique over one sheet of cardstock and cut it up into card or scrapbook sized pieces. This makes making many cards using the same colours, image, technique, etc go fast as all the back ground paper is done for you and all cut up, all you have to do is layer, glue, and embellish.
If you haven't tried one sheet wonder (also called done with one and some other names) and struggling with your Christmas cards this year then give it a try you will be amazed by how fast your card to do list gets smaller by using the one sheet wonder idea.
Hope I have inspired you to try this technique!
Happy stamping!
I finally used my cuttlebug to cut puzzle pieces with the sizzex puzzle piece die. I applied regular elmers glue to a piece of cardboard/chipboard like from toy packaging and applied my paper, rolled that through the cuttlebug to squish the exess glue out (don't apply too much glue or you will have a real big sloppy mess!) wash the sandwich pieces if glue oozed out.. then using your puzzle die (cuttlebug offers one too) and center it on your papered chipboard, roll through the machine and tada! Puzzle pieces!
